False ceilings are used to minimize load (Power consumption) on air-conditioning in a building and also to provide an aesthetic look to the soffit/ roof. Metal tiles are made of either steel or aluminium and offer great functionality and durability. False ceilings can be concealed grid (Flush finish) where boards are fixed to the frame and finished to provide seamless surface or exposed grid type where tiles are laid into the grid. Boards can also be fixed by providing groove all around the board.
